Bear Proof Service
Discontinued May 2026
Unfortunately have made the difficult decision to discontinue the Bear Proof Service. With rising costs in fuel and staff, we do not see a path forward with this service. We appreciate your support during the early days of our venture!
We will continue to service the cans if you would like, but we can not perform the Bear Proof Repairs any further.
If you would like to find another vendor to take care of you, we certainly understand, and we will continue to service the garbage until you find a replacement.
We would like you to keep the enclosure. If you would rather not, let us know and we will get it picked up right away.
Again we thank you for your support as we navigate the best way to provide our service at an affordable price.
Best Practices for Bears
From our research over the past 2 years this is what we have seen work the best:
-
Avoid Flipping - The bears flip them over because they can't get into them
-
Anchor - To avoid the flipping we have seen customers have success with using ratchet straps to anchor their bins to trees, their building, a concrete slab, or ground anchors
-
Placement - If possible to have a shed or garage to place the bins in
